Can a Society Charge Unlimited Late Fees?
As per Bye-law No. 70(a), interest on arrears cannot exceed 21% per annum.
Can the Society Increases Maintenance Charges Anytime?
No. Any increase must be approved in an AGM and justified with expenses.
Can a Tenant Pay Maintenance Directly to the Society?
Yes, if the owner agrees. However, legally, the owner is responsible for paying maintenance.
